Our goal is to affect positive change in the lives of all participants, both on and off the ice.
By living abroad in these non-traditional hockey communities, our coaches experience intercultural learning which develops knowledge, leadership, communication techniques, and life skills that are integral to becoming a better coach and an engaged citizen.
HOW IT WORKS
Coaches engage in season-long or week-long camp placements, as well as hockey clinics, with grassroots hockey communities around the world. Our programs aim to help develop and coach minor hockey programs in non-traditional and grassroots hockey communities.

In collaboration with local partners, HWB assesses a community’s needs and aspirations to build a framework to meet short and long-term hockey-related objectives. Our coaches support the implementation of the framework during their stay.

Past placements countries include: Serbia, Lithuania, Kyrgyzstan, India, Bosnia, Greece, Hungary, and the Czech Republic.
